Alcuni dei miei parenti vivono in Toscana perciò mi capita di andarci spesso. Per questo motivo ho colto l'occasione di visitare Viareggio.
Sono partita la mattina presto e dopo molti cambi di treni sono arrivata a Viareggio verso le 16. Ho incontrata un'amica che non si perde mai un'edizione di questa manifestazione bellissima.
Benché avessi vissuto quasi sette anni a Pietrasanta, cittadina meravigliosa a pochi km da Viareggio, non avevo mai partecipato a questo evento.
Nel 2018 la mia amica mi aveva mandato alcune foto di questo carnevale scenico e spettacolare, mentre quest'anno ho avuto la possibilità di vederlo dal vivo. Proprio fantastico.
C'erano tantissime persone con costumi bellissimi e colorati, musica, balli e tanta allegria.

I carri allegorici che hanno sfilato sui viali a mare di Viareggio erano delle vere opere d'arte.
Chi passasse da Viareggio durante questo periodo non deve assolutamente perderselo.

What a beautiful Carnival!
I have relatives in Tuscany and I go there very often. Although I lived in Pietrasanta for almost seven years, a wonderful town at a few km from Viareggio I had never been there before.
Last year, my friend sent me some pictures of Viareggio's colourful and spectacular festival.
This year I had the opportunity to be there. My friend told about the Carnival of Viareggio happening on Sunday, February 17th.

I left early in the morning and after many train changes I arrived in Viareggio. I met my friend who never misses this event.
It was just fantastic! There were so many people with beautiful and colourful costumes.
The floats were really art works thanks to the Tuscan craftmanship.
The Carnival usually takes place five days between February and March every year. They are not fixed dates. It is different every year.
If you visit Viareggio during this period you must not miss the Carnival.
Ci sono andata due volte ed è veramente bello! Però mi piange il cuore...quando ero piccola anche se il mio comune è piuttosto piccino facevamo un super carnevale e vendevamo addirittura dei pezzi a Viareggio!
